I don’t know about you but the older I get, the less I actually need – making me pretty hard to buy for. What I’m really keen on though is memory makers – that’s basically things that we can do together as a family or opportunities to create a memorable experience.
I’ll opt for a holiday, a cooking class or a fun day trip over a new handbag or pair of shoes every.single.time. I was recently asked by the lovely people over at gift-giving site Gift It Now what I wanted for Mothers Day… and my response was pretty simple – a nice morning tea with my boys – and somewhere that I didn’t have to cook!
After looking at the range of experiences on the Gift It Now website, Aimee Provence on the Sunshine Coast looked perfect. Although we’re based in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is like a second a home to us – which is probably how I came to be Experience Oz’s ambassador for the region. If you’re ever planning a visit – give me a holler!
A few other mums from around Australia were asked what they wanted for Mother’s Day too. Their ideas have been collated into this e-book ‘What mum really wants for Mother’s Day’ You can check it out here….
The experiences on the website are Australia-wide and there are so many of our favourites on there! If you have plans to visit Cairns as an example, don’t go past the SkyRail and Scenic Railway journey to Kuranda and back.
We were there last November and thought it was great. It was a whole day adventure and brilliant value for money! The boys loved it as much as I did – no iPads required.
A FUN MOTHER’S DAY ACTIVITY THAT YOU CAN DO WITH THE KIDS
Our lovely friends from kid’s activity site, Tiger Tribe, recently asked my boys to answer a few questions about me for Mother’s Day for their ‘Out of the Mouths of Babes’ feature.
Here’s what my boys had to say about me…!
This simple activity brought tears (not all laughter) to my eyes! A few other mums were asked to participate too. Check out what their little loves thought about them… click here.
Here are the questions if you’d like to copy and paste them! Direct message me on Instagram with how you go! 🙂
