Great news for our Queensland holidaying families! P & O Cruises raised the bar last year with their Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden refits and now they are set to do it again with Brisbane based Pacific Dawn.

Pacific Dawn will be redesigned to mirror the striking contemporary look of Pacific Aria. We are fortunate to have seen the Aria first hand and can tell you that it is spectacular. After touring the ship I recommended it to a friend and her entire extended family. They booked a week long trip and when they came back said it was so good that they weren’t sure that they could ever cruise again. They said it was just too hard to come back to reality! I second that.
Today we attended a media event and gained the inside scoop on what’s planned for families cruising out of Brisbane on the Dawn. P & O Cruises Entertainment Director, Brett Annable was on hand and spoke with us today about the ships major multi-million dollar refit in February 2017.
Brett kindly told our very excited boys about the planned state-of-the-art water park and how the new park will feature two very epic water slides along with an interactive kids-only play area. We.cannot.wait!

We started practicing for the new slides today at the media event. We had so much fun on the #shipandslide and are happy to say that we’re ready to give the ships new slides a go!
The Dawn will emerge from it’s revamp in drydock in March 2017 not just as a cruise ship but as a very stylish superliner. It will join it’s sister ship The Aria on a record 108 cruises for holidaymakers in 2017. This is an increase of 98 cruises from last year and it’s little wonder – cruising really is the most relaxing holiday our family has ever had with the kids.
