We’re pretty lucky to live in Brisbane which is not too far from the themepark capital of Australia, the Gold Coast. As locals, we’ve pretty much checked out all that there is to do with kids in this neck of the woods and so i’m always excited to hear about anything that’s new to do!
I was excited to learn recently about a new gem from our friends at Village Roadshow Theme Parks. They have started offering a very unique FarmStay experience at Paradise Country.
Paradise Country is home to a host of Aussie wildlife and farmyard experiences where kids can really be kids and get back to nature. Thanks to this latest offering guests can turn a day out at the farm into an overnight adventure with the choice of farm style camping, caravan or motor homes stays or truly retreat in a Farmstay Eco Tent (ps. these look awesome).
Paradise Country General Manager, Shane Phillips told us that the Farmstay experience offers guests an authentic overnight farmyard experience where they can create lasting memories.
“The Farmstay experience is the perfect getaway for families looking to get back to nature while being just 20 minutes from Surfers Paradise,” he said.
“With a range of accommodation options available including luxurious Eco Tents and Swagman motor homes or traditional on-site tents and caravans there’s something to meet the needs of the whole family.
“During their stay, guests will enjoy full use of Paradise Country along with access to Farmhouse Restaurant and bar facilities for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a range of exclusive Farmstay activities including campfires and games.
“Participating in the morning Farmhand jobs is a highlight of the experience with guests learning what it takes to prepare the farm for the day as they bottle-feed baby animals at the nursery, go egg collecting in the farmyard and even help with the morning cow milking.”
Being ideally located between Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet’n’Wild Gold Coast, the Farmstay experience is the ideal option for families who are looking for something different out of their normal theme park holiday.
We have never done a Farmstay with the boys and so a visit here is huge on our wishlist! Our aim is to book this one in for 2017 and we’ll be sure to report back to you with all the details! If you’ve met me, you’ll know that i’m not usually one for camping; but after looking at these photos I think even I could do this AND have fun! Plus the boys would love it, and i’m a sucker for anything that makes them happy. 🙂
