Aussie World delivers ‘fair dinkum’ fun for the family

If you’re visiting Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and are looking for a wholesome, good time with the family, then visit Aussie World!

Aussie World is a mid-sized theme park who’s mantra is ‘fun is our thing’.   And true to their word, we had a great time!

Despite driving past Aussie World and not going in for as long as I can remember, everything at this theme park felt and looked new. They have recently introduced a swag of new rides and all-ages attractions, it was very easy to spend the entire day there but not feel rushed or overcrowded.

5 Reasons Why Aussie World Is A Must Do With Kids

1. AUSSIE WORLD IS OPEN 363 DAY S OF THE YEAR
It won’t matter what season you visit in, there is something to do all-year round here.  In summer you can keep cool by riding the ‘Plunge’ log ride (be prepared, you will get wet!) and splash about in their water play area. Other activities like mini golf will keep you moving through winter.

2. THE FOOD WAS TOPS
Food isn’t allowed to be brought into the park but you don’t have to worry –  The Fun Cafe has a great range of healthy options for families. The price was equally good and there is plenty of seating available here and in other areas of the park.  Street entertainers are also roaming about during lunch periods with increased frequency during the school holidays.

3. THERE’S NO MORE TO PAY
You can go on the rides as many times as you like for the one admission price.  Parents need only beware of the usual arcade and carnival games (like the playing the Clowns) that often appear at theme parks.

Many of the rides are very more-ish. Our boys went on the Bug Run five times in a row and were still begging us to let them go on it some more!

4. IT’S GREAT FOR BIG AND LITTLE KIDS
Yep, Aussie World has rides for mum, dad and the kids. Dads and the more adventurous will love the ‘Wasp’, ‘Dark Rebel’ and the ‘Redback!’ The ‘Space Ship Shaker Swinging Ship’ was also pretty hair-raising…although my five year old loved it!

The Illusionarium is also unique to Aussie World and should not be missed for some indoor trick-eye mind bending fun!

5. IF YOU ARE VISITING FROM OVERSEAS, THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO EXPERIENCE ALL THINGS AUSSIE
Aussie World is part of a cute precinct that includes a quintessentially Australian Pub and village shops. Tip: try the fudge!

Your visit here will be a great alternative to the glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast or fast-pace of Brisbane.

Our day at Aussie World was very relaxed and manageable with the kids. It’s another one for our book of fabulous days that we won’t forget and I’m pretty sure that we’ll be back for more some day soon.
