After a very long journey from Hong Kong, The Smurfs have touched down in Australia and are holidaying at Melbourne’s Harbour Town! “We’re all Smurfs!” is a FREE event for kids of all ages and children can visit the display every day from 10am to 6pm until December 24.
Created by Belgian comic artist Peyo in 1958, the Smurfs have been a part of many childhoods (including mine) throughout their near 60-year history.
The exhibition at Harbour Town Melbourne has two distinct areas. Visitors can follow the comic and cartoon journey with a display showcasing 35 Smurf characters and their everyday life scenes – great for photo taking. While, in the Play Area next to Le Cirque, a colourful craft village has been established along with displays showcasing fantastic artworks and characters throughout their history.
Special craft activities also run 11 – 3pm each weekend.
